Buslink Queensland Joins Growing CDC Brand Family in Australia

One of the state’s largest regional school and urban bus operators, former family owned group Buslink, has rebranded to CDC Queensland.

This follows the acquisition of the Buslink group in 2018 by one of Australia’s leading transport providers, ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia Pty Ltd (CDC).

CDC Queensland CEO, Tony Hopkins said Buslink companies in the Sunshine Coast and Gladstone regions would now operate as CDC South East Queensland Pty Ltd and CDC Gladstone Pty Ltd respectively – with the changes signalling an exciting new era of growth for the organisation.

“The rebrand comes after a solid two years under new ownership of the ComfortDelGro group. The acquisition of the Buslink group of companies across four states in 2018 – including operations spanning 20 years in regional Queensland – delivered a substantial national footprint and fast-tracked CDC’s growth as one of the nation’s largest bus operators.

“While none of our businesses are immune to the impacts of COVID-19, the group continues in its investment and growth mindset in Australia, and we look forward to the new opportunities this will bring to large-scale transport services and beyond,” Mr Hopkins said.

New CDC Sunshine Coast and Gladstone livery will roll-out across Buslink vehicles in October, featuring the renowned bright orange and blue logos of the CDC transport brands. The changes will also see the same friendly team of drivers wearing new-look CDC Queensland uniforms.

CDC employs more than 4,000 employees with over 4,400 vehicles and operates across six states and territories in Australia. CDC is one of Australia’s largest bus operators, operating both urban and school bus services under various state government contracts, as well as reliable charter services for business or pleasure including employee transport in the resources and mining sectors.

As part of ComfortDelGro Australia (CDC), CDC Queensland’s local experience and knowledge is backed by the expansive national and international networks of parent company, ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited – one of the world’s largest land transport companies.
