At CDC, connecting communities goes beyond operating services, it’s about ensuring people feel safe and confident when they travel.
Our Mildura team partnered with SuniTAFE to deliver a dedicated Life Skills session focused on bus safety and navigating public transport across the Sunraysia region. Led by Depot Manager Luke Charles, the 90-minute session combined practical guidance with real-world insights into how our services operate.
The strong engagement from students highlighted the value of these sessions, with thoughtful questions and active participation throughout.
The session combined practical guidance with hands-on demonstrations, including how to:
- Safely load bikes onto bus racks
- Use accessibility ramps
- Navigate onboard features and information displays
Students were provided with takeaway materials and practical resources to support their future journeys helping build confidence and awareness when using public transport.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting safer travel, strengthening community connections, and making a positive impact in the regions we serve.
