From Sunday 29 March 2020, Route 605 bus services will return to the previous alignment along Birdwood Avenue, following completion of City of Melbourne works on Southbank Boulevard.
Route 605 was temporarily diverted along Alexandra Avenue in 2018 while these important works were completed.
Route 605 will also be renamed route 605 Gardenvale to City (Queen Street) to better reflect its starting point and destination.
The return of Route 605 to Southbank Boulevard will bring services closer to Melbourne Girls Grammar and other schools in the area.
