CDC Victoria is proud to announce that the first of 50 new Hybrid buses have been introduced to our public transport routes from Monday, 8th April 2019.
The introduction of the buses marks an important innovation for Victoria’s public transport network, delivering significant reductions in emissions, noise and fuel consumption as well as improving the passenger experience.
This is also the largest, single order of Hybrid buses in Australia.
The first bus will service Routes 606 (Elsternwick to Fishermans Bend) and 417 (Laverton to Laverton North). Another 30 buses are expected to be phased in over the next 12 months, with the remainder slated for service in Wyndham, Oakleigh and Sunshine areas by mid-2022.
