CDC Victoria proudly celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a legacy of service, innovation, and growth in public transport. Since acquiring the Kefford Corporation in 2009, CDC Victoria has upheld a tradition of community-focused transport services. From expanding through acquisitions like Tullamarine Bus Lines and Buslink in Mildura and Broken Hill to opening state-of-the-art facilities like the Wyndham Depot in 2018, CDC Victoria has continued to grow while staying true to the values that shaped its foundation.
Innovation has been at the core of CDC Victoria’s journey. The company made history in 2015 with Victoria’s first and only double-decker route bus, followed by the introduction of 50 hybrid buses and 8 electric buses.
CDC Victoria CEO, Jeff Wilson said, “Looking back, we have carried forward the proud legacy of the Kefford Corporation, growing with acquisitions like Tullamarine Bus Lines and Buslink in Mildura and Broken Hill. Now, with our successful tender for three of the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning’s Metropolitan Zero Emission Bus Franchises (MZF), we are excited to transition to full ZEB operations within the next decade. This milestone reflects our commitment to greener and more sustainable transport solutions.”
Community engagement remains at the heart of CDC Victoria’s mission, highlighting its dedication to making a positive impact. Through initiatives that champion diversity and inclusion, empower youth, enhance community and staff well-being, and advance sustainability, the company continues to foster meaningful connections and contribute to the communities it serves.
ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC) CEO Nicholas Yap said, “Our incredible team, past and present, has been instrumental in achieving these successes. I am grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Together, we have built strong connections across Victoria and Australia, and I look forward to continuing this growth.”
ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia Chairman, Russell Balding said, “After 15 years in Victoria and 20 years in Australia, our roots in the community remain the foundation of our success. It is a privilege to be part of an organisation that is committed to sustainability and innovation while staying deeply connected to the people and places we serve.”
As CDC Victoria celebrates its 15-year milestone, the company looks to the future with optimism and determination. Its unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community engagement ensures a solid foundation for the next chapter, continuing its mission to connect people, places, and communities across Victoria.
