Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics
CDC Victoria is currently searching for a number of experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to join our team of mechanics at our Ballarat, Oakleigh and Wyndham depots.
Working on our large fleet of modern buses, you will be responsible for all aspects of bus maintenance, from scheduled servicing, to diagnosis and repair of faults.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- An uncompromising approach to health and safety
- Relevant trade qualifications, with experience preferably within the bus industry
- A Heavy Vehicle Licence, or be willing and able to obtain
- The ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills

Casual Charter Drivers
CDC Victoria is currently searching for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team of Casual Charter Drivers. Working from one of our 5 depots across metropolitan Melbourne or regional Victoria, you will be the face of our Charter business, providing exceptional service to our charter customers.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Safety as your number one priority, always;
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service;
- An excellent driving record, and experience driving buses or coaches;
- A HR, or equivalent, drivers licence;
- A Drivers Accreditation Certificate, and Working with Children Check;

Types of positions
Bus Driver
Be the face of CDC Victoria, as you drive route, school or charter services for your local community. With 5 depots across metropolitan Melbourne and the Greater Cities of Ballarat and Geelong, we have both casual and full time opportunities available at all depots. To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for providing exceptional customer services, be reliable and available to work a variety of shifts, and have an uncompromising approach towards safety. You will hold an MR (or equivalent) licence, and have the ability to obtain a Drivers Accreditation and Working with Children Check.
Maintenance
With a modern fleet of over 450 vehicles, our maintenance teams’ work together to ensure our buses and coaches are ready for their daily commute. All 5 of our depots have their own workshops, with positions available for qualified Diesel Mechanics, Spray Painters, Body Builders, Upholsters and Auto-Electricians, as well as opportunities for Trades Assistants. To succeed in these roles, you will have the relevant trade qualifications and safety front of mind, with experience working with heavy vehicles, and an MR licence (or equivalent), highly desirable.
Customer Service/Administration
All 5 of our depots operate charter services, as well as public transport services. To assist in the functioning of each site, we have dedicated Charter/Customer Service Representatives and Administration Co-ordinators who assist our customers, and staff, in answering queries, assisting with lost property, and co-ordinating charter bookings.
Operations
Each of our depots have a dedicated Operations team who are responsible for coordinating the local functions of the depot. In additional to local operations staff, we have an Operations Customer Centre (OCC), located at our Wyndham depot, which ensures the delivery of all CDC services, and supports drivers through any on road events.
Corporate Services
CDC Victoria’s head office is located in Wyndham, and has Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Community Engagement and Planning departments. Positions ranging from Administration Support through to Management may become available within our teams from time to time.
