We welcome on board our newest community partner - The Brotherhood of St Laurence. Partnering up with a Melbournian charity organisation enables CDC Victoria to actively engage with and give back to society in BIG ways. By working together on initiatives, CDC Victoria and the Brotherhood can contribute and reach people who need help within the communities that we serve directly.

Partnering with the Brotherhood of St Laurence allows us to champion the cause of eradicating poverty within Victoria and provide respite to our fellow Melbournians.

What Drives Us

CDCV will also be establishing a donation drive from our Lost & Found properties. Any items that are not claimed after a 6 month period will be donated to the Brotherhood of St Laurence Op Shops in each depot’s local area.

CDC will also recycle old mobile phones, laptops and other digital equipment and the proceeds from each sale will also be donated to the Brotherhood of St Laurence.

Many families experience increased social and financial difficulties during the festive season, but Christmas is about children and it’s important that all children regardless of their situation have a gift to open on Christmas day.

During the month of December, CDC staff can donate children toys, items, or books and place them under their depot Christmas tree. The gifts are provided to families as gifts for their children from the Brotherhood Of St Laurence’s Christmas Toy Shops around Victoria.

The 2016 Toy Shop was a great success. From our CDC staff donations and other donors, Brotherhood of St Laurence were able to provide gifts for over 150 children across Victoria.
